Shawn Hassell He grew up in New Hampshire and attended Tufts University. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and was made a member of Phi Beta Kappa in 1992. Shawn went on to enter the University of New Hampshire Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Program, earning a Master’s Degree in Family Studies: Marriage and Family Therapy in 1999. Shawn practices as a New Hampshire Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT #69. He is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and has been an AAMFT Approved Supervisor since 2006. Shawn has done committee work with the New Hampshire Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (NHAMFT) since 2000 and was on the NHAMFT Board as Secreary, President Elect, President, and Past President from 2005 through 2010. He is currently active with the Education and Legislative Committees. Shawn is on the Marriage and Family Advisory Committee to the New Hampshire Board of Mental Health Practice.
Shawn has worked with individuals, couples and families in office and home-based settings. He brings experience working with clients with couple communication and conflict issues, and sexual difficulties; parenting challenges, child and adolescent behavior problems, step-family issues, foster and adoptive family needs; attachment issues, anxiety, trauma, depression / mood disorders, and grief and loss. Shawn is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Level 2, Certified Therapist. Shawn uses systemic, solution-focused approaches to treatment, and employs empirically supported therapy models such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. In addition to direct therapy, Shawn has extensive experience as a clinical supervisor. Prior to entering private practice, he directed a regional office and provided clinical supervision for six years at a statewide non-profit family counseling agency. Shawn has taught trainings in systems theory, family therapy models, and Motivational Interviewing methods.

Christine Lavoie grew up in New Hampshire and attended Lesley University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services and Counseling Psychology. Christine then went on to attend Cambridge College where she graduated magna cum laude with a Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology. Upon completing her Masters of Education degree, Christine began working towards her license as a Mental Health Counselor and completed her Doctorate in Psychology in 2008. Christine practices as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, LCMHC and as a Nationally Certified Counselor, NCC. She is a Professional Member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and the New Hampshire Mental Health Counselors Association (NHMHCA). She is the current Treasurer for NHMHCA and has served on NHMHCA's Professional Development Committee prior to her appointment as Treasurer.

Prior to entering private practice, she directed a substance abuse prevention program, facilitated parenting support groups and youth skill building groups and provided clinical supervision for several state wide non-profit agencies.

Betty Anson grew up in the New York City Metro area and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Anthropology and more recently, was awarded her MA, with distinction, in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. Betty practices as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New Hampshire, license # 117. Betty is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Helping the Non Compliant Child, both empirically supported treatment models. Betty builds on client strengths, is collaborative and solution focused. She provides individual therapy for children and adolescents; family therapy to enhance parent-child relationships and communication; parent consultation to help gain children’s cooperation.
Betty is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT); serves on the Education Committee of the NH Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (NHAMFT) and is on the Advisory Board of the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. Prior to entering private practice, Betty provided therapy to home and office based clients at community mental health and statewide agencies in NH and created and facilitated in-patient and school based parenting programs designed to help caregivers parent the dually diagnosed and severely mentally ill.
Prior to relocating to NH, she was VP Human Resources at a NYC Bank and headed Human Resources at a major NY hospital and a global private label marketing firm. Betty also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development from the New School for Social Research in NYC. Betty has consulted with corporate clients in the areas of leadership development and organizational change, served as an adjunct professor of management, human resources and organizational development and has provided career counseling services. Betty has published in the areas of organizational change and leadership development.

Kathleen Wood grew up in New England and graduated from the University of New Hampshire where she earned her Masters of Social Work Degree in 2002. Licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (NH, # 1238) and as a Member of the National Association of Social Workers, Kathleen is governed by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Kathleen has worked with families and individuals in home, office and hospital based environments and has experience working with anxiety disorders, depression and adjustment disorders. She is well versed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has facilitated DBT groups for several years in the community mental health setting.

Lynn Wahle grew up in western Michigan. For high school she attended Emma Willard School in Troy, NY and for college she attended Duke University in Durham, NC where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany. After a brief stint working in Outdoor/Environmental Education, she returned to school and earned a Master of Science in Education degree in special education. For over 10 years, Lynn taught as a special education teacher in the public schools. Next, in 2008, Lynn earned a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University New England in Keene, NH. Lynn practices as a New Hampshire Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT #135. She is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
Lynn has worked with individuals, couples and families in office, school and home-based settings. She currently provides services for children, adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, or other mood related disorders; for couples and families facing conflicts in their relationships; and for parents looking for parenting strategies. Lynn also combines her family therapy training with her education background in working with children and adolescents who may be struggling with a disability or school related issues. She has experience with ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, and Learning Disabilities, to name a few. Treatment methods that Lynn employs include Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness practices, all strength based approaches that help clients tap into their inner wisdom when facing problems. She is currently pursuing training in Internal Family Systems Therapy.
